With the increasing number and variety of sensors and actuators used in the automotive field, especially during the rapid prototyping phase, each sensor and actuator often requires its own signal conditioning and power stage circuits. This can be a very expensive & time consuming task considering the large amount of data that is involved. The RapidPro Hardware and the corresponding software from dSPACE, can help easily meet such a challenging requirements. The product will be available in India through Cranes Software's extensive nationwide network and the company will also deliver comprehensive software support in the country.
The RapidPro hardware is an extension to dSPACE Prototyper and consists of three different unit types: the RapidPro SC Unit (signal conditioning unit), the RapidPro Power Unit (power stage unit), and the RapidPro Control Unit (intelligent I/O subsystem for dSPACE Prototyper). The enclosure is designed so that the units can be used separately or connects several of them to build a stack for use as one physical unit. The other benefit is that the hardware and software are available in modules, which will help to reuse and reconfigure all components with a minimum effort.
